Nanoscience is a product of nanotechnology. As the word indicates, Nanoscience is the branch of science dealing with the issues of Nanotechnology. Nanoscience as with the case of Nanotechnology was derived from the word ‘Nano’ meaning small or dwarf. So, Nanoscience can be defined as a field of science that deals with molecules, atoms and other objects which vary in terms of nanometres (Nano=1 billionth).

Nanoscience is different from other forms of science such as physics. This is because the latter deals on the properties that are in the macroscopic level while the former deals on the properties that are in the nanoscopic level. Nanotechnology and Nanoscience involves working in parallel with studying with matter that is present on the nanoscopic scale. Both encompass of variety of procedures and techniques rather than focusing on a single discipline—including engineering, medicine, physics and chemistry.

Nanoscience has suddenly emerged as a huge field because of the vast scope that it offers. In the past days the scientist and the researches were only able to see the matter only at certain levels. But with the introduction of nanotechnology and nanoscience, the scope of research and investigation has gone few steps ahead. Now the researchers and scientists were able to see the matter at their nano scales or nano sizes and vast number of nano instruments took their existence. This indeed is going to make a way for huge inventions and discoveries that can be anticipates in the near future.
Nanoscience is currently the most in-demand field of science.

There has been a good application of nanotechnology in computers so far. The field of computers has seen a tremendous revolution ever since the debut of Nanotechnology in computers. The computers before the evolution of technology are no doubt the fastest and the smartest computing machines that the world has ever seen. And it is not an undeniable truth that the computers have made the life of humans easy. And the studies and researches in the field of computers have advanced the world to a greater extent.

But with the introduction of nanotechnology in computers, the field of computers has seen a huge revolution than it has shown of itself to the world. But with the advent of nanotechnology in computers, the computers are now able to deal with the things even up to the Nano-th scale.

Large scale companies such as IBM, For, AT & T are longing since great period to enhance the technology of non-volatile RAMs and this was made possible only with the introduction of nanotechnology in computers.

Apart from the inventions made by the advent of nanotechnology in computers, it is still challenging the study-makers and researchers with its enormous scope that it has in store within itself. Nanotechnology in computers has a large scope than in any other area of Nanotechnology’s application.


Nanotechnology in the future has got tremendous scope in exploiting the world in every possible area—be it physics, chemistry, biology, aerospace and whatever field that one could state. Nanotechnology so far has gained prominence in every field in the world and is still on the go to make its impact so that the impact will never be replaced by any other technology that might come in the near future.

It is well aware that nanotechnology has made its prominent application in the field of medicine and other fields by designing and producing tiny compact nanorobots and nanomaterials that could serve the purpose for which they are designed at the molecular or atomic level. Nanotechnology in the future can take up these advancements further and develop more sophisticated and advanced out of these.


Nanotechnology in the future might achieve designing of nano scale machines. These nanomachines may incorporate molecular motors within them that can be capable of making up of the muscles inside the human body and facilitate in converting to mechanical energy from chemical energy with astounding efficiencies. Also nanotechnology in the future can enhance the structure and performance of ribosomes that can construct the amino acids and protein molecules all by themselves following the DNA instructions with high accuracy. There might be a possibility of nanosubmarines that can repair the human bodies without the need of a doctor.

If the current trend continues, nanotechnology in the future is going to make tremendous enhancements in all the fields that one could think of.
